The City of Tangent launched a brand new website. The city is also switching over to TangentOR.gov for all email communication. Please update contacts you may have with city staff at Tangent. 

Representatives from the two-county Rural Economic Alliance (REAL) provided Linn County Commissioners Roger Nyquist, Sherrie Sprenger, and Will Tucker with an update on their goals and progress Tuesday morning at the Linn County Courthouse, the County said in a news release.

Linn County’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased from a revised rate of 4.8% in March to 4.4% in April. The

statewide unemployment rate also decreased and is now 4.0%. Between March and April, seasonally adjusted employment decreased

by 10 jobs, and employment is now 900 jobs or 1.9% above the February 2020 pre-pandemic employment level.

LEBANON, Oregon. ENTEK has been selected as part of the first set of projects funded by President Biden's Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to expand domestic manufacturing of batteries for electric vehicles and the electrical grid and materials and components currently imported from other countries.

The funding announced today by the Department of Energy is the first phase of over $7 billion in total provided by the President's Bipartisan Infrastructure Law for the battery supply chain.

ENTEK has over 35 years of experience producing battery separators for batteries to support electric, advanced start-stop, and standard vehicles, trucks, emergency vehicles, emergency backup power, utility-scale energy storage, and industrial batteries. 

Agility Robotics, based in the City of Tangent and Oregon State University (OSU), are Guinness World Record holders. 

Cassie, a bipedal robot, did the 100 meters in 24.73 seconds at OSU’s Whyte Track and Field Center. Cassie did this accomplishment without any cameras or external sensors, a big development in robotic technology.

Agility Robotics is based in Tangent and develops robots that help businesses, and people thrive. Minutes away from Corvallis, home of OSU.

Hendrix Heating, based in the city of Tangent, celebrated 70 years of business with an open house for the public!

Serving burgers, refreshments, ice cream, and live music to greet customers, neighbors, and local leaders. The open house also had the American Red Cross hold a Blood Donation Drive and Puppy Adoption from SafeHaven, located in Tangent!
